The MLC election polling has begun in the state.

Polling for the MLC (Graduate MLC) seats for teachers and graduates is taking place in Telangana's combined seven districts. The elections are being held for two Teachers' MLC and one Graduate MLC seat. With 75 candidates in the fray, the polling began at 8 AM and will continue until 4 PM. Polling arrangements have been made with 773 polling stations for Graduate constituencies and 200 for Teachers' constituencies. The vote counting will take place on March 3.

Hyderabad: Polling for the MLC (Graduate MLC) seats for teachers and graduates is taking place on Thursday in the combined seven districts of Telangana. The polling, which started at 8 AM, will continue until 4 PM in the evening. The elections will be held for two Teachers' MLC seats and one Graduate MLC seat. A total of 75 candidates are in the fray across three constituencies.

There are 773 polling stations set up in the regions of Karimnagar, Medak, Nizamabad, and Adilabad for the Graduate constituency, which has 3,55,159 voters, and 56 candidates are contesting. For the Teachers' MLC seat, 27,088 teachers have registered to vote, and 15 candidates are in the contest. Polling will take place from 8 AM to 4 PM, and the vote counting will be conducted on March 3.

Polling is also taking place today for the Teachers' seat in the Warangal, Nalgonda, and Khammam districts, where 25,797 teachers are registered voters, and 19 candidates are competing. Authorities have set up 200 polling stations in these areas. District collectors in each of the districts have reviewed the arrangements for the polling, and polling staff with necessary materials have reached the polling stations by Wednesday evening.
